Knock Yr Socks Off has a band camp page where you can find even more of the quality releases you've come to know and love...http://knockyrsocksoff.bandcamp.com

Knock Yr Socks Off Records started life way back in 1997 as a tape label. It progressed to releasing records courtesy of affordable small run lathe cuts by Peter King. Finally, after putting out more lathe cuts and CDRs, it fulfilled its desire to press quality records by releasing a split 7" record featuring Portland's Eux Autres and Melbourne's Summer Cats in mid-2007.

Since then Knock Yr Socks Off has continued to release high quality limited edition vinyl and will endeavour to do so for at least a few more years yet.

Knock Yr Socks Off Records is based in Melbourne, Australia.

We can be contacted via email at info@knockyrsocksoff.com.

Various Artists

Golden Age 7" (2010)
7”

Golden Age is a compilation 7" featuring five of our very favourite artists. On side one, from Australia, we have The Cannanes and Summer Cats; one of indiepop's oldest stalwarts and the other a progresively established newcomer. The flip features three great bands from the USA, Cheap Red, Soft Paws and Tricia Yates Fanclub; Cheap Red and Tricia Yates Fanclub are new-ish bands featuring Stewart Anderson of Boyracer while Soft Paws are a hybrid pop/psychdelic three piece from Portland, Oregon, who give us a great slab of surf pop on this release. Download a copy of the Summer Cats' contribution "Melbourne Town" by clicking here

The release is a split with 555 records of Flagstaff, Arizona.

Huon

Advance (2009)
LP 12”

It’s hard to think of enough wonderful things to say about Huon. For those unfortunates in the dark Huon are a stunningly original art punk pop band from Melbourne Australia boasting a line-up of premier division noted indie-heavy-weights such as David Nichols (Blairmailer, Cannanes, etc), Mia Schoen (Sleepy Township, New Estate, etc), Andrew Withycombe (Hydroplane, Cats Miaow, etc) and Ellen Turner (Long Weekend, etc).

This is Huon’s sixth long player, and their first full length release in 7 years.

The record can be had for $25 postage paid within Australia or for $35 anywhere else in the world. All prices in Australian dollars.

It is also a split release with 555 records of Flagstaff, Arizona and Jellyfant records of Germany. You should support your local label (and probably save some postage in the process).
